Hurricane Ivan

Hurricane Ivan smashed into Grand Cayman on the night of September 11, 2004, and stayed stuck around with hurricane force winds for over 18 hours. As a category 5 storm, it had wind gusts over 200 miles an hour, and who actually saw the wall of water that surged through my neighborhood.

My House after the storm did better than the house next door on the right. You'll find the rest of the house across the street.

My piano lies in front of the garage. As soon as I could get back to the house, three days after the storm, my neighbor across the street told me that a gentleman drove by, saw the piano, and wanted it. My neighbor told me that I would be wise to accept any offer. I gave it away.

A year later, a friend called to tell me that a work colleague told him of a friend who salvaged a piano from a front yard, and that it plays very well today.
